Upgrading Head Unit from RNS510 to MIB2 Discover Media PQ
The RNS510 have been discontinued since 2014 and support/parts for this radio is getting harder to acquire. The navigation map is also no longer supported.
Koh's B7 Passat had issues with his RNS510. We suspect it is the motherboard that is acting up. Changing the motherboard would be costly. He wanted an upgrade to his radio and map plus App Connect etc.
We fitted the MIB2 Discover Media set into his car. He had to give up his DVD player from his RNS510 which is no longer supported on the Discover Media PQ. The Highline Camera with Trajectory Parking have also to be downgraded to the Lowline Camera with fixed lines. His old Bluetooth Module have also been removed as the new Discover Media has a built in BT telephone feature.
